Lemon and Bull Shark Galore in Jupiter
After two weeks with the bull sharks in Playa del Carmen, we headed north to Jupiter, Florida — a place where lemon sharks gather each winter and the bull sharks hold their own on the deeper side of the ledge. A Season with the Bull Sharks of Playa del Carmen
Just offshore from Playa del Carmen lies Shark Point, a place where female bull sharks return each season. In November we joined them again — a dive filled with close passes, familiar faces, and the calm power only bull sharks carry. Protected mangroves, community research, and years of conservation work shape this migration — a reminder of why these waters matter. A short visit, but one that deepened our connection to these incredible sharks.
Three Short Days in Cabo Pulmo
Off a beaten path from Cabo San Lucas lies Cabo Pulmo, a marine sanctuary I’d long dreamed of visiting. In October we finally made it — three short days of dolphins, marlin, and endless reef life. This protected national park proves what conservation can restore. A quick trip, but one that left a lasting impression.
